Support
The Coordination and Analysis Unit (CAU) is becoming an ArcGIS resource and support center for the Central Asian region. CAU regularly provides to its counterparts technical support and assistance in producing thematic maps based on their data.
 
Trainings
During 2008-09 CAU organized specialized ArcGIS trainings for the staff of Law Enforcement Agencies in Central Asia and for National Strategic Analysts of UNODC projects in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Russia. These trainings contributed to strengthening of capacity of analysis units of Law Enforcement Agencies in Central Asia region and promoted to use modern Geoinformation tools in reports.
In 2010 we offer following in-house (Tashkent) and mobile (in the premises of training of the requesting company) training course:

• (i) Introduction to ArcGIS I;
• (ii) Introduction to ArcGIS II;
• (iii) ArcGIS Geo-database.

Our ESRI certified and highly qualified trainers can provide this training in English, Russian or Uzbek.

Free GIS data
You may use our repository to download shape files of the Central Asian region. This free GIS repository includes populated places of the region with their GPS coordinates; categorized roads; rivers; regional and district administrative boundaries and many more.
Thematic Mapping.
In this web-site, we offer thematic maps describing Drug Trends in the Central Asian region and neighboring countries.
We offer our expertise and assistance to our counterparts in designing their own thematic maps and data preparation for further using with ArcGIS software, and other related tasks.
